Smart home energy technology manufacturer myenergi has launched the zappi GLO, a compact 7kW plug-and-go EV charger designed for drivers seeking simplicity and sophisticated eco-smart performance.

Manufactured in the UK and available for pre-order now, the single-phase unit features bundled scheduling, solar compatibility, out-of-the-box energy tariff integration and app-based controls. The buttonless, screenless charger offers users the option to plug in and charge immediately or configure settings via the myenergi app. It also includes RFID tap-to-charge functionality with access for up to 126 users, designed for households or businesses with multiple EVs.

Andrew Clint, group CEO at myenergi, said: “The launch of zappi GLO marks the next exciting chapter in our remarkable journey. Specifically designed for the EV driver of tomorrow, GLO represents the future of plug-and-go charging technology – effortless operation, eco-smart capability, out-of-the-box tariff integration and unmatched functionality without the complexity.

“The first device in a series of game-changing energy management technologies, each designed to challenge convention and revolutionise home energy, GLO demonstrates our ambitions for the future. Borne out of customer feedback, the revolutionary device aligns perfectly with the market’s desire for total charging simplicity, while still delivering powerful, intelligent, sophisticated functionality.”

GLO is compatible with Gridpay, myenergi’s rewards system for households that support grid stability during peak or low-demand periods. It also forms part of myenergi’s broader home energy management system (HEMS), which allows users to monitor and manage overall energy usage.

Designed with ease of installation in mind, the zappi GLO is supported by myenergi’s new Assistant App, which provides a step-by-step guide for installers. Through the Installer Centre, professionals can access resources including lead generation and the Product Champion Scheme, which places them on the company’s installer map.

The device is rated for impact resistance, tamper detection and includes integrated 6mA DC fault protection. It supports WiFi, Bluetooth and local radio communication. Dispatch begins from 1st June 2025. The existing zappi 2.1 remains available for users who prefer on-device control and extended features.
