The Leapmotor T03 has been recognised as a top performer at the ECOBEST Challenge 2025, organised by AUTOBEST, an independent organisation advising European consumers on electric vehicle performance.
The challenge featured 15 new electric vehicles from different manufacturers, tested under real-world conditions across seven performance metrics.
In a standout result, the Leapmotor T03 became the first vehicle in the challenge’s history to exceed its official WLTP range.
It achieved an EcoC 1 index of 109.43%, delivering a real-world range of 180 miles compared to its WLTP-rated 165 miles.
The vehicle also demonstrated strong energy efficiency, recording 5 miles per kilowatt-hour in the EcoC 2 index, second only to the Dacia Spring. In the EcoC 4 index, which assesses combined driving and charging efficiency, the T03 ranked highest with a result of 4.2 miles per real kWh charged.
A Leapmotor spokesperson said: “The Leapmotor T03’s performance represents the brand commitment to making electric mobility not only sustainable but also accessible.
“This recognition from AUTOBEST reinforces our mission to deliver high-efficiency, high-value electric cars to drivers across Europe.”
The results, certified by Bureau Veritas, place the Leapmotor T03 among the most efficient electric vehicles tested by ECOBEST, highlighting its capabilities as a practical and cost-effective choice for urban and suburban drivers.
