Leapmotor has announced that its compact electric vehicle, the T03, is now available to order through the Motability Scheme, marking a strategic move to widen access to EV ownership in the UK.
The T03 is offered with zero advance payment and a weekly Personal Independence Payment (PIP) contribution from £76.45. The five-door hatchback joins the scheme with a single high-spec trim level and a WLTP range of up to 165 miles from a 37.3kWh battery. The car features a 70kW motor and supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in as little as 36 minutes.
Damien Dally, Leapmotor UK managing director, said: “This is a significant moment for the brand, with the T03 now available on Motability Scheme. We are on a mission to help drivers make the switch to electric by delivering the highest level of specification and the highest level of technology, as standard.”
Dally added: “The T03 embodies that mission by offering Motability customers unrivalled value for money, exceptional levels of standard equipment and an effortless driving experience. It continues to set new standards in the compact EV sector.”
Leapmotor’s entry into the Motability channel forms part of its broader effort to position the T03 as the UK’s most affordable new electric car, with a retail price from £15,995. The company says its strategy is focused on maximising EV accessibility through simplified specifications and a fully equipped standard offering.
