The Kia EV3 has received a five-star rating from Euro NCAP following extensive testing, with all UK models equipped as standard with the DriveWise ADAS Pack.

The EV3 was assessed across four categories, scoring 83% for adult occupant protection, 84% for child occupant protection, 78% for vulnerable road users and 78% for safety assist.

The DriveWise advanced driver assistance systems use a combination of cameras and radars to detect hazardous situations and assist with safe driving and manoeuvring.

Standard features include forward collision-avoidance assist, highway driving assist and blind spot collision-avoidance.

Euro NCAP awarded the EV3 full marks in the side barrier test for adult occupants and noted the vehicle’s strong protection for six- and ten-year-old passengers.

The EV3 also includes a direct driver monitoring system and an advanced eCall feature to alert emergency services in the event of a crash. These systems, along with the car’s high-strength Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and rigid body structure, contributed to its top rating.

Pablo Martínez Masip, vice president of product and marketing at Kia Europe, said: “The EV3 is an amazingly versatile vehicle, able to adapt to a wide range of lifestyles, and this rating shows the vehicle is highly protective for the driver, passengers and other road users.

“The Euro NCAP rating is just reward for a vehicle that has greatly impressed the media, the industry and customers alike.”

Kia’s EV3 has already received multiple industry accolades, including 2025 World Car of the Year, ‘Best EV Crossover’ at the TopGear.com Electric Awards, and ‘UK Car of the Year 2025’.

The model offers a segment-leading range of up to 375 miles on a single charge and a versatile interior layout. Kia has confirmed plans to introduce an all-wheel drive variant, expanding the line-up beyond the current two-wheel drive version now on sale in Europe.
