The JAECOO 7 SHS has received the highest five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, marking a key milestone for the brand as it continues to build its presence in the UK and European markets.

The flagship self-charging hybrid SUV delivered strong results across all major safety categories, including Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Vulnerable Road Users and Safety Assist.

The SHS achieved a score of 81% for Adult Occupant Protection and 80% in Safety Assist, supported by 21 driver assistance systems including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning and an Intelligent Avoidance System that alerts drivers when overtaking wide vehicles.

The JAECOO 7 SHS features a body made of 80% high-strength steel, enhancing collision protection. It also offers notable efficiency, with a WLTP fuel economy figure of 403 mpg and a range of 745 miles. The hybrid system maintains battery charge levels, differing from typical plug-in hybrid electric vehicle systems.

Launched in the UK in January 2025, nearly 2,000 units of the JAECOO 7 SHS have already been sold. Priced from £35,165 OTR, it is backed by a 7-year/100,000-mile manufacturer’s warranty and an 8-year battery warranty.

JAECOO’s sister brand OMODA also holds five-star NCAP ratings for its all-electric E5 and petrol-powered OMODA 5 models.
