Automotive retailer Wessex Garages has acquired the former Cazoo site in Cardiff, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in South Wales and the South West.

The prominent site, located on Penarth Road directly opposite Wessex Garages’ existing facility, will become the new home of its Hyundai franchise. The group plans to transform the location into a modern dealership aligned with the latest Hyundai corporate identity.

The relocation is expected to generate new jobs in the local area, with increased capacity and expanded new and used vehicle volumes. Growth is anticipated over the next two years as Hyundai brings new products to market.
