Vertu Motors strengthens digital strategy with new Solera cap hpi data partnership
Vertu Motors has signed a new agreement with Solera cap hpi to enhance data-driven decision-making across its dealership network and advance its omnichannel retail strategy.
Vertu Motors plc has entered a new data partnership with Solera cap hpi as it continues to advance its digital strategy across its dealership network. The new agreement will provide Vertu with access to HPI Check provenance data under a shared risk commercial model, alongside real-time and forecast vehicle valuations.
The partnership is designed to support Vertu’s operational efficiency and to strengthen its omnichannel retail strategy, which focuses on integrating its physical dealerships with online retail platforms. The Group, which represents more than 30 manufacturers across more than 200 locations, continues to invest in digitalisation to drive profitability and enhance customer experience.
David Crane, chief operations officer at Vertu Motors plc, said: “The new agreement builds on our long-standing relationship with Solera cap hpi. It supports the company’s commitment to data-led decision-making in a fast paced market, with the ability to update vehicle pricing from a central source, bringing even more efficiencies into Group.
“We use data-driven decision-making across our organisation to generate enhanced returns and deliver a better customer experience. Data drives our omnichannel development, bringing ‘bricks and clicks’ together.”
Alongside providing provenance checks, Solera cap hpi will supply current and forecast valuations to assist with smart pricing and stock management decisions.
Wendy Swaine, head of strategic retail at Solera cap hpi, said: “New investment in our data will see the HPI Check continue to lead the industry and provide our retailers and wider customers with the information they need to accurately buy and sell vehicles.”
In 2024, Solera cap hpi carried out more than 143.8 million valuations and 29.2 million HPI Checks through its digital platforms. The company has also made recent enhancements to better track EV specifications and values as part of its commitment to raising ethical data standards in the automotive market.
Vertu’s latest digital investment follows its recent £3.6m expansion in the South West, including the opening of two new Volvo dealerships in Yeovil and Plymouth.
