Suzuki has announced the introduction of a 10-year Service Activated Warranty for customers in the UK and Ireland, increasing the current coverage from seven years to a full decade.

The warranty is activated once a vehicle reaches the end of its standard three-year/60,000-mile manufacturer warranty, provided it is serviced within the authorised Suzuki network.

Cover is renewed at each qualifying service, up to a maximum of 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty remains free of charge and is transferable to new owners between services, helping support resale values and customer confidence.

Denis Houston, director aftersales at Suzuki GB PLC, said: “At Suzuki, customer experience and retention are paramount. The extension of Service Activated Warranty will certainly enhance this for the future, ensuring our customers get the best levels of service, fitment of genuine parts and avail of the expertise within our dealer network rather than going to a non-franchised repairer once their manufacturer warranty expires. Offering Service Activated Warranty free of charge for both UK and Irish customers is something we are very proud to offer as a strong message.”

The new warranty will also apply to privately purchased vehicles or those with gaps in dealer service history, further expanding eligibility.

Additionally, ahead of the upcoming launch of Suzuki’s first fully electric vehicle, the e Vitara, the brand has confirmed that a 10-year warranty will apply to the EV battery – two years longer than most competitors and ahead of current eight-year industry legislation.

The new scheme launches on 1st May and will apply to all models.
