All Electric Garages’ Stourbridge dealership has lost its Hyundai franchise, but has begun selling BYDs.
Due to restructuring, Hyundai decided to move forward with fewer dealerships, selecting a single, larger dealership in the Birmingham area.
The Stourbridge dealership will no longer sell new Hyundai cars, and is no longer authorised to carry out warranty work, or perform servicing as part of prepaid service plans, despite the dealership opening two and a half years ago.
However, the dealership can still service Hyundai cars, at cheaper prices than Hyundai main dealers, and Hyundai owners can still access warranty work through the group’s Kidderminster dealership.
The dealership said it will consider fixing minor warranty issues at no cost, in thanks for customer loyalty.
All Electric Garages did ask to retain Hyundai Aftersales support until May 2026, but this was denied.
Jason Pickerill, managing director of All Electric Garages Group, said: “For over 32 years, it has been our privilege to represent the Hyundai brand and, more importantly, to serve you, our loyal customers, with honesty, commitment, and care.
“We understand this news may come as a surprise and perhaps a disappointment, and we share those feelings with you.
“The Hyundai franchise has been an important part of our journey, and we are deeply proud of the trust and relationships we’ve built with so many of you through this brand.”
From 1st July, the dealership will begin selling BYD models, with the group’s Kidderminster location taking on the franchise on 1st August.
