Škoda Auto has launched the Elroq Respectline, a new concept car created to reflect its commitment to mutual respect, diversity, and inclusion, ahead of its public debut on 9th May.
Škoda Auto has revealed the Elroq Respectline, a one-off concept vehicle designed to express the company’s core values of mutual respect, diversity, and inclusion. The car will make its public debut on 9th May at the Best Cars 2025 awards in Hamburg, followed by a showcase at Škoda’s in-house music festival in Mladá Boleslav on 10th May.
Developed with input from Škoda employees across the company, the Elroq Respectline features a stylised “háček” – the diacritical mark in the Czech letter “Š” – as a central design motif, celebrating the brand’s Czech heritage and 130-year legacy.
The vehicle’s exterior includes animated LED rainbow lighting on the Tech-Deck Face grille, referencing the LGBT+ community and representing a broader message of diversity. Inside, the design includes rainbow embroidery, colourful décor elements, and recycled materials from the production Elroq.
Throughout the summer, the Elroq Respectline will appear at key cultural events including the Metronome Prague music festival, Prague Pride, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra’s Open Air concert, and stages of the Tour de France.
Maren Gräf, Škoda Auto Board Member for People & Culture, said: “Diversity, equity, inclusion, and mutual understanding are cornerstones of Škoda’s corporate culture. With the new Elroq Respectline, we are introducing a Škoda brand ambassador that embodies these values. Our goal at Škoda Auto is to be a role model in caring for our employees and fostering a safe, open, and fair workplace for all. For many years, we have been building our corporate culture on these principles – in close cooperation with our social partner KOVO Union, Škoda Auto employee groups, and many inspiring organizations and experts. We are proud of our commitment to promoting human rights and mutual respect, and we believe the Elroq Respectline will help us carry these values even further.”
The concept follows the earlier Enyaq Respectline and supports Škoda’s broader participation in European Diversity Month. In May, the company will host internal lectures, workshops, and awareness campaigns aligned with its Diversity Strategy 2030 and Next Level Škoda Strategy. Škoda also plans to publish its latest Sustainability and Diversity reports later this month.
