Škoda launches Amazon showroom offering real-time stock availability for UK customers
Škoda has launched a digital showroom on Amazon, allowing UK customers to browse new models, check local stock, request test drives and explore finance options before visiting a retailer.
Škoda has become the first European car brand to launch an Amazon showroom that integrates real-time stock availability, enabling UK customers to browse, compare models, request a test drive, and explore finance options before visiting a Škoda retailer to make a purchase.
The new platform is part of Škoda’s strategy to make car buying more convenient, blending digital exploration with face-to-face dealership interaction. Customers can start their journey on Amazon.co.uk or via the Amazon app, view the full Škoda range including the Fabia, Kodiaq, Elroq and Enyaq, and check local availability of new cars ready for delivery within 2–4 weeks.
Matthew Bowden, director of Škoda UK, said: “Online browsing and research are part of everyday life, which is why we’re so excited to launch the Škoda showroom at Amazon. It gives prospective customers more opportunities to find their next car and see where it’s available, all from the comfort of their home.”
A recent Škoda-commissioned survey of 2,000 UK adults found that 47% of potential customers value being able to research from home when buying a new car. However, 82% said they still prefer some form of in-person engagement, with 78% considering a test drive essential. The survey also highlighted that while customers welcome online convenience, expert advice, product demonstrations, and face-to-face reassurance remain key parts of the purchasing decision.
The new Amazon showroom reflects this hybrid model, allowing customers to browse online before completing their purchase directly with a Škoda retailer. Buyers can use the platform to compare specifications, calculate finance deals, and arrange test drives before finalising their order in person.
