OMODA&JAECOO showcases dealership AI robot with full-stack interaction and admin potential
OMODA has introduced 0% APR and zero deposit finance on the all-electric OMODA E5, aimed at driving wider EV adoption across its expanding dealer network.
Chery International, parent company of OMODA&JAECOO, has unveiled the AiMOGA Robot, a humanoid designed for use in retail automotive environments.
Dubbed “Mornine”, the robot is positioned as an Intelligent Sales Consultant capable of performing multiple showroom-based functions, from greeting customers and serving refreshments, to delivering guided tours and explaining vehicle specifications.
The AiMOGA Robot integrates perception, cognition, decision-making and execution capabilities in one platform, according to Chery. It uses a multimodal sensing model to process visual, audio and environmental data, and is equipped with a bionic motion system and automotive-grade components to enable upright walking and fine motor operations.
With multi-language support and adaptive interaction, the robot has been tested in real-world dealership settings, including at OMODA&JAECOO’s site in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It can reportedly collaborate with other units to complete admin and reception tasks, suggesting scalability in high-traffic environments.
Demonstrations are currently taking place at the Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition, where the robot is interacting with OMODA&JAECOO’s new energy vehicle line-up and explaining technical features such as the Super Hybrid System found in the OMODA 7 SHS and JAECOO 5 BEV.
The manufacturer has not confirmed when Mornine might be deployed in the UK. However, with 73 dealers already in place nationwide, the brand said the robot “showcases the art of the possible when AI is by your side”.
