Lloyd Motor Group has acquired Telford Škoda, marking the group’s expansion into Škoda sales.

Telford Škoda, located in Carlisle, was a family-run business for 25 years, serving Cumbria and the Scottish border region.

Sam Lloyd, managing director of Lloyd Motor Group, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Telford Škoda into the Lloyd Motor Group family and to partner with Škoda for the first time.

“This acquisition represents an exciting opportunity to expand our franchise portfolio while continuing to serve the local community with the same dedication and personal service they have come to expect.”

Lloyd will continue to sell the full range of Škoda cars, while maintaining the dealership’s servicing, aftersales, and parts supply operations.

Škoda’s product line is one of the freshest of any manufacturer, with 80% of the line-up being newly released or updated within the last year.

The brand’s electric vehicle range has been particularly successful in the UK, with registrations of the Enyaq increasing by 43.6% last year.
