A Glasgow man has become one of the first Arnold Clark customers in the UK to take delivery of a brand-new right-hand-drive Corvette, following the dealer group’s new partnership with the US sports car brand.

Derek Provan, a luxury car enthusiast, picked up the keys to his Corvette C8 Stingray from Arnold Clark’s dedicated Corvette showroom in Glasgow.

“I’ve owned prestige cars for a while and it’s always been a dream of mine to own an American supercar, but I never fancied the left-hand drive,” said Provan. “I was near the new Arnold Clark Corvette showroom in Glasgow a week before it opened and noticed the row of Corvettes lined up outside. They immediately caught my attention.

“I’ve always loved the old Corvette Stingrays and when I was told this one was right-hand drive, it was meant to be. It’s a real head-turner. I’ve not seen anyone else out on the roads in one yet, I love that it’s different and feels so sophisticated. The staff at Arnold Clark were really helpful and made the process so simple.”

Arnold Clark recently became one of the first UK dealer groups to partner with Corvette, offering UK-specific right-hand-drive models at showrooms in Glasgow and Manchester.

The Corvette E-Ray, the first electrified all-wheel-drive Corvette and the fastest in the model’s history, is expected to arrive at Arnold Clark showrooms this summer. Test drives of the Corvette Stingray and Z06 are also now available.
