Three Evans Halshaw Ford dealerships have launched test drive events in support of charities.
Part of Ford’s ‘Drive 4 UR Community’ initiative, participating dealers will donate £30 to a local charity for every test drive, with an aim to raise £6,000 each.
The next event is from 24th to 25th June, where Evans Halshaw Ford Wolverhampton will be supporting Compton Care, which offers palliative and bereavement care for families dealing with life-limiting conditions.
Attendees will be able to drive a variety of Ford models, from the Puma and Kuga SUVs, to the E-Transit Custom electric van, and the PHEV variant of the Ranger pick-up truck.
The event will be held at Woodfield Social and Sports Club, and customers are encouraged to book test drives in advance, through the Drive 4 UR Community website.
Two dealerships have already held their events.
Evans Halshaw’s Glasgow Ford dealership held its event from 19th to 20th June, raising money for Kidney Kids Scotland, which helps children with kidney and urological conditions.
Evans Halshaw Ford Lincoln held an event on 22nd June, raising funds for the Lincolnshire and Nottingham Air Ambulance.
Adam Fletcher, vice president for Ford at Evans Halshaw, said: “At Evans Halshaw, we believe our responsibility extends beyond great vehicles it’s about positively impacting local communities.
“The Drive 4 UR Community initiative perfectly reflects that commitment and I’m incredibly proud of our teams in Glasgow, Lincoln, and Wolverhampton for driving this effort forward and supporting such meaningful local causes.”
