The Ancaster Group has opened a refurbished Hyundai showroom in Chislehurst, Perry Street, introducing a state-of-the-art retail and aftersales facility by merging the former Catford and Welling Hyundai sites.

This opening represents a major investment in the dealer network and operational footprint across South East London.

The site is currently open for business, but the official opening is on Thursday 22nd May 2025.

Not only will they have Hyundai’s latest vehicle line-up, but the site will also include a dedicated space for Genesis South East London team.

This addition will expand the reach of the luxury Korean Marque beyond Central London.

This expansion will also now house Ancaster Group’s head office, combining retail, management and operational functions, aiming to streamline internal operations and position the site as the central hub for Hyundai and Genesis activity in the region.

The Chislehurst site has been transformed into a modern automotive destination under the roof of an award winning building designed in 1909 by architect EJ May.

It features a 12-bay workshop fitted with the latest diagnostic and servicing equipment.

It was designed to meet the growing demand for both internal combustion and electrified vehicles, with a 70-vehicle used car display and adequate parking to facilitate both walk-in and appointment based visits to the site.

Stephen Wood, managing director at Ancaster, said: “The merger of the Catford and Welling locations into the new Chislehurst facility reflects the broader Ancaster strategy to consolidate resources, improve efficiency and elevate customer experience across our network.

He also said the new site will strengthen the brand’s presence across London, Kent and the South East, providing a modern platform for both Hyundai and Genesis to grow.

Ancaster Chislehurst will continue to provide full support for the Mobility Scheme, offering eligible customers comprehensive vehicle packages, including servicing, insurance and breakdown cover included.

The scheme will also include access to manufacturer-trained technicians, genuine parts and high-capacity service operations and the site is set up to deliver sustained aftersales performances.

On Thursday 22nd May 2025 Ancaster Group will celebrate the opening of the new site, welcoming media, partners and customers to explore the new site, meet the team and experience the Hyundai and Genesis ranges in full.
