Vertu’s Bristol Street Motors brand has launched its redeveloped Hyundai Bristol dealership, following an investment of £330,000.

The site, which is one of the largest Hyundai sites in Europe, has used the investment to improve its customer areas and enhance its environmental focus. Charging points have been installed to allow visitors to refuel their electric and hybrid vehicles when visiting the site. There is also upgraded furniture and new, more energy efficient lighting and air conditioning in evidence. A tech area showcases Hyundai’s latest in-car technology, including innovative Apple Play equipment.

A two-day-long opening event celebrated the launch on the weekend of September 15, with extended opening hours (until 10pm) giving everyone the chance to enjoy casino-style games alongside refreshments.Bristol Street Motors has promoted Terry Thurgood from sales manager to branch manager in recognition of his continued outstanding performance. He will now be responsible for the running of the site and managing its team.

Terry Thurgood, commented, “I am really excited to be taking the next step in my career with Bristol Street Motors at such an important time for the dealership.

“The business has put a lot of resources into enhancing the site for both colleagues and customers. It’s definitely money well spent because it looks fantastic and the improvements really allow us to demonstrate the full range and capability that Hyundai has to offer.

“Bristol is known as one of the most ecologically-conscious cities in the UK and was a European Green Capital in 2015, so naturally a lot of our customers are interested in more economical and environmentally friendly models. The installation of electric vehicle charging points and the green credentials of the refurbishment will allow us to support the city’s ethos.”
