Lloyd Newcastle has participated in the NE1 Motor Show with a rare vintage 1970s classic BMW, a car-top tent, a MINI racing car and an electric supercar.

The Barrack Road-based car retailer took a number of vehicles to Newcastle city centre as one of the key exhibitors and the Dealer Partner at the event. A key exhibit for Lloyd was a rare BMW M1. The first M car, the BMW M1 was conceived to challenge Porsche in the mid 1970’s Sports Car Championship. The display model was refurbished in 2016 in time for BMW’s centenary and celebrations at The Goodwood Festival of Speed.Lloyd also used the event to show the BMW i8 hybrid and the MINI Cooper John Cooper Works ChallengeSpeaking before the event
