JCT600 has broken its annual fundraising record with £62,260 raised during 2015 for Alzheimer’s Society.

Among the money spinners that helped the group reach the total was JCT600’s Three Peaks Walk, a cycling challenge, and a Bake Off, in addition to the participation in the Great North Run. JCT600 teams from the Bradford head office and its 50 dealerships have also held their own fund-raising activities.  These included running the Hull Marathon, hosting charity fairs, a 12 hour cyclathon, and a classic car adventure across Europe.

John Tordoff, chief executive of JCT600 commented: “The JCT600 team has once again taken our fundraising efforts to a whole new level. Year after year, they give their time and energy to supporting the annual charity chosen by colleagues and I’d like to thank every one of them, whether they’ve taken part in one of our fundraising events, organised a fundraiser themselves, or supported their colleagues’ charity challenges.  To have raised over £62,000 for Alzheimer’s Society is an achievement to be proud of.”

Hannah Wright, senior regional corporate partnership executive North for Alzheimer’s Society, said: “JCT600 have been a pleasure to work with – from hearing personal stories of how employees have individually been impacted by dementia and the motivation behind their support – to a number of staff becoming ‘Dementia Friends’ – with brilliantly successful,  creative and classic fundraising in between.

“The sum raised by the company has exceeded all expectations, and this support will help us move closer to new treatments and one day, a cure for dementia, giving hope to those who develop the condition in future. As a charity, we rely on the generosity of organisations like JCT600 to help us continue our vital work so that Alzheimer’s Society can continue leading the fight against dementia.”
