Jack Tordoff, MBE, founder and chairman JCT600, has received the Yorkshire Post’s Individual Award for Excellence.

Jack Tordoff received a standing ovation upon collecting the award at the publication’s annual business awards ceremony in Leeds. The award was bestowed in recognition of Jack’s achievement in building JCT600 from a single dealership, Brooklands Garage in Bradford, into a 50 dealerships network that constitutes the largest privately owned business in Yorkshire.

On receiving the award, Jack commented: “You have just got to work hard, I mean work very hard.  I used to work seven days a week at one time, but it didn’t bother me because I wanted to be a winner.  And it turned out, you do eventually get to be a winner if you work hard enough.”

Jack shared with the audience that receiving the award was an emotional experience for him, that had “made his year”. He said the award would have a “special place in his home and heart”.
