Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) have announced details of seven new or upgraded dealerships that are set to open in the London area over the next 2 years. The plan includes one that the firm is describing as a “Global Statement Site” with a mind boggling 17,000sq/m of floor space. (NB: That’s very nearly 3 times the size of Poole Audi)

The “Global Statement” dealership which will be just off the M3 motorway in Sunbury on Thames will be run by Sytner Group. Building work starts in August this year and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

JLR’s London area plan also includes an 8,000 square meter dealership to be run by Spire Automotive at Staples Corner, where the North Circular and Edgware Road intersect. Work on the new Staples Corner showroom will begin in April, and will be completed by October 2018.

Talking about the planned works, Jaguar Land Rover UK MD, Jeremy Hicks, said, “The Jaguar Land Rover business has seen huge sales growth and significant development of its model range in recent years, and our retail partners are evolving the sales network to reflect that. These new London sites not only make it more convenient for our customers in the capital but they also provide a significant boost to our visibility, with cutting-edge design and an ideal showcase for our vehicles.”
