Sachs, part of ZF Aftermarket, has introduced a range of original equipment (OE) quality replacement air struts, as more vehicles are sold with air suspension.

ZF Aftermarket estimated that around 10 million vehicles on European roads now have air suspension, increasing demand for spare parts, which are often expensive.

Vehicles with air suspension often need either air spring replacement, or a replacement of the entire air strut assembly, which includes the damper.

Sachs’ range of air struts were designed to be plug-and-play, and manufactured to OE standards.

The units are supplied with all necessary components, including the top mount, and are compatible with adaptive damping and automatic levelling functions.

Sachs’ air struts allow for damping forces to be adjusted every two milliseconds, allowing for enhanced comfort, control, and stability.

Martyn Houghton, country manager at ZF Aftermarket, said: “The introduction of Sachs Air Struts marks a significant step in expanding our premium suspension offering to meet growing demand in the market.

“As more vehicles adopt air suspension systems, workshops need high-quality, easy-to-install solutions.

“With OE-quality design and plug-and-play convenience, our new range helps the independent aftermarket stay competitive and confidently service modern vehicles.”

22 part numbers are already covered, offering air struts for the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, and Volkswagen Touareg, with Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz models set to follow.
