Autosupplies Group has made a £500 donation to Green Gables in Mexborough, a YWCA Yorkshire service providing support and safe accommodation for vulnerable young women, children and families across South Yorkshire.
Green Gables has been operating since 2004 and offers housing, emotional support and opportunities for women aged 16 to 25, many of whom are facing homelessness or domestic abuse.
The service helps young women move towards independent living with dignity and security.
David Clarke, managing director at Autosupplies Group, said: “Supporting the community is an important part of our values. Green Gables is doing incredible work for young women and children in the local area who face extremely difficult situations.
“It’s a privilege to be able to contribute to a service that is changing lives every day, and we’re proud to stand behind their mission.”
The donation reflects the company’s ongoing support for local initiatives, and builds on Clarke’s personal commitment to causes across Yorkshire.
Janine Egan, head of operations at Green Gables, said: “We’re extremely grateful for the support from Autosupplies. Donations like this make a real difference in the lives of the young women we support.
“It allows us to continue offering practical help and hope to those who need it most. It’s fantastic to see a local business investing in the future of our community.”
YWCA Yorkshire has operated for over 100 years, providing services that combine housing with wider support including education, advice and family development.
