The redevelopment work which got under way at the end of April has delivered a 6,300 sq. ft. site featuring an eight car showroom, in keeping with the brand’s Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) concept. VRE, aims a delivering a new way of retailing with a focus on making customers feel relaxed and at ease in an environment that informs.

Th site now boasts a new workshop environment that features six bays, and offers while-you-wait services. The service is facilitated by Personal Service Technicians (PST) working on cars as pairs rather than individually. The idea is part of Volvo’s ‘Personal Service’ initiative, which aims to streamline aftersales functions to improve workshop efficiency.

Cambridge Garage has appointed Mitchell Hobbs to the newly created product specialist role. He is responsible to guide customers through the buying and ownership experience at the new facility.

Victoria Stringer, managing director, Cambridge Garage Havant, said: “Inevitably, our customers have experienced some disruption over the past six months even though it has been very much business as usual and the development was undertaken in stages. We were all very excited about the completion and I am confident our customers will agree that we have created a fantastic facility fit for the premium car owner.”
