Scottish dealer group, Peter Vardy have opened their twelfth dealership, the Dundee branch of their car supermarket operation Peter Vardy CarStore on the Dunsinane Industrial Estate.

At 70,000 sqft and with 500 cars in stock, the new facility is the group’s largest to date and the opening has helped create over 100 jobs in the Dundee area.

Inside the dealership, customers who have youngsters in tow will find a life-size ship in a kid’s zone, a Marmalade Jar café, and the chance to get a picture taken with ‘Oor Ink’ an over-size statue of legendary local comic strip character Oor Wullie.

Talking about the opening, CEO Peter Vardy, said, “The CarStore Dundee builds on the success of our Hillington venue and is designed to be a destination dealership. My vision has been to make it a comfortable space where people can relax and choose the car of their dreams. When the doors open, I look forward to welcoming the people of Tayside to a new way and, I think, the best way, to buy their next car.”
