Sturgess Jaguar Land Rover has appointed Australian ex-pat, Stephen Dodsworth as it’s Corporate Business Manager.
Dodsworth, who has worked for Pendragon, Colliers and Ridgeway, joins the dealership on Narborough Road, Leicester, from Marshall Motor Group, where he was Business Development Manager at their dealership in Oxford.
Looking forward to his new job, Dodsworth said, I’d like to think that I’m a safe pair of hands who is committed to the Jaguar Land Rover brands and the Fleet’s business programme.”
Referring to the Kangaroo logo of his new employer, Dodsworth said, “I like that it’s a recognised local icon, and the connection to Australia. The heritage of the company and the Royal Warrant makes it a brand you’re proud to represent.”
“When I arrived here and met the chairman, I got a real sense of confidence – somewhere I could see a future. It’s not a big PLC, and Barney (Managing Director) and Chris (Group Chairman) can make decisions on behalf of the business fairly quickly. I’m here to establish Sturgess as a Centre of Excellence for fleet and business sales, representing both Jaguar and Land Rover, in particular within the local Small and Medium Enterprise community.”
