Ocean Automotive have created five new jobs with the installation of a new state-of-the-art, 8,000sq ft, multi material repair facility at their Poole Accident Repair business.

Taking 3 months to set up, the new 16-bay workshop, next door to the firm’s Dorset head office, will be able to repair the latest generation of high end aluminium and composite vehicles like the Audi’s R8 and the Tesla range.

Talking about the project, Head of Poole Accident Repair business, Leon Coupland told Motor Trade News, “Car technology in terms of ‘build’ has changed so dramatically that we have to move ahead of the times to be ready for what is an rapidly expanding market in composite vehicles – they are lighter, more economical and cannot be repaired alongside traditional metals.

“The new facility here really does set us apart. Poole Accident Repair now has the capacity to repair multi material and aluminium vehicles to standards previously unachievable and to a level that is certainly not available anywhere else in this region. Further to this we can do so quickly and efficiently without any compromise to safely.

“This combination of technology and hardware is stand alone and we are looking forward to repairing premium marque vehicles from all over the country.”
