Following a £5 million investment and one year of building work, Vertu Motors owned Macklin Motors Nissan Glasgow on Port Dundas Road has opened its doors.

As previously announced in Motor Trade News, the eight-storey steel and glass dealership is on the former site of the DC Thomson print works, will be run by DP Robert Auld who has been with Macklin Motors Nissan since 2014.

Talking about the new venture, Robert Auld said, “It’s fantastic to finally officially open the new Macklin Motors Nissan Glasgow. This represents a significant investment by Vertu Motors in Scotland and demonstrates our belief in the market here.

“I am very excited to be a part of this fantastic project. The dealership will be a one stop shop for customers in Glasgow. There are two floors of vehicles, extensive servicing and MOT facilities, and a café bar for customers to relax and enjoy our first class hospitality.”

“In addition to all of this, visitors will receive first class customer service that is the cornerstone of Macklin Motors.”
