Progress Motor Retail Group has completed the purchase of Spirit Skoda in Harlow from Group 1 Automotive. All staff at the acquired business are to be retained by Progress group.
The Harlow business features the latest up to date SKODA corporate identity, at a site that can display 50 used cars, with a 9 car showroom and an aftersales facility that includes 6 work bays.
Terence Byrne, Managing Director of the group who will now represent the Skoda Franchise in Bedford, Harlow, Letchworth and Northampton said: “I am delighted to announce our recent purchase of Spirit Skoda in Harlow from Group 1 Automotive. This represents a great addition to the group and is an ideal strategic geographical fit with all the other Progress businesses.
“Skoda is destined to continue to grow in the coming years and with the exciting new models planned, the future looks very bright. The all-new Kodiaq model arrives in showrooms early next year and with Progress having four locations across four counties, we will certainly capitalise on this incredible new car.
“Staff from the Harlow business will transfer over to Progress and we look forward to them playing their part in truly transforming the territory and becoming part of the Progress success story.”
