Manchester based motor dealer group, Lookers has opened a new Volvo dealership on St Marys Way, Mersey Street, Stockport, Cheshire.
The new dealership, which is branded as Stockport Volvo is currently in a temporary facility, with a permanant new build dealership planned to open a year from now.
The new dealership’s location has long been a motor trade suite, previously being occupied by Evans Halshaw with a Vauxhall franchise and latterly Citroen.
Commenting on the opening, Philip Hand, Head of Network Development at Volvo Car UK said, “The opening of our dealership in Stockport is excellent news for Volvo Car UK. We wanted to get representation in the right location with the right partner, which we’ve been able to do on St Marys Way and with Lookers. The investment in Volvo’s future in South Manchester doesn’t end there, though: a brand-new facility will be built next door to the current temporary Lookers Volvo site, and this will be completed by the middle of next year.”
