Growing Car supermarket group, Trade Centre Wales have opened their third outlet, a new, 700 car, Cardiff North superstore dealership in Abercynon which is located just off the A470, between the Welsh capital and Merthyr Tydfil.

Talking about the new dealership, General Manager Tim O’Leary said, “We recruited 80 staff for our opening with 95% having no previous Motor Trade experience, they were trained at our academy in Neath and have coped admirably in the first month of training, with a baptism of fire on opening day were we sold 66 cars on Friday 1st July.”

“We have a wide mix of used cars, from volume to prestige (BMW, Audi, MB) and the new site is also performing well on SUV’s. The site is currently selling over 200 cars per week, maintaining the healthy stock turn we have already established

O’Leary adds, “80% of cars are sold and delivered on the same day and all cars are prepped at our new retail preparation facility in Neath, so we are a ‘retail only’ facility (as is Merthyr). Our trustpilot rating is strong at 8.9/10 and in the first 3 days of August we have had 14 TrustPilot reviews, 12 x 5 Star and 2 x 4 Star, over half of these were from the new store.”

The group told Motor Trade News that the sites at Neath and Merthyr and now Abercynon will be joined by a fourth site in the region to open June 2017.
