Glasgow is now home to the largest Hyundai dealership in the UK, which was launched by Arnold Clark group this week. The new showroom and service centre covers a combined area of 857sqm and is located in the bustling city’s East End.
The facility, which overlooks the M8 motorway running through the centre of Glasgow, has capacity to showcase more than 20 new cars from the Hyundai range over three levels. There are also 150 used cars on display. In terms of aftersales thee dealership is kitted out with seven workshop bays including a dedicated MOT bay plus a specialist wheel alignment bay. The site will employ over 50 staff on site, across the sales, service and parts functions.
Arnold Clark has had success with the Hyundai brand registering more than 1,100 vehicles at its two existing Hyundai sites in the city in 2015. The solid figures drove the group to consolidate the two locations into a brand new flagship dealership with an investment of £4 million.
