Over 600 hundred guests showed up for the official opening of Trenton’s Nissan £3 million dealership in Grimsby at the weekend.

Trenton Nissan in Altyre Way opened its doors at a weekend event, hosted by Viking FM Radio and the Breakfast show presenters of Alex and Emma. One customer, Denise Greenwood from Grimsby, drove away in a brand New Nissan Micra courtesy of Trenton.

Family fun at the event included attractions such as a rodeo bull and Formula One simulator.

Founded more than 30 years ago, Trenton Group operates three sites in nearby Hull, including the city’s Nissan franchise. The new site includes a 14-car showroom,  a forecourt with enough space for up to 150 used Nissan models, and a nine-bay workshop fitted with all the latest Nissan diagnostic equipment. The opening of the Grimsby site will create 35 jobs in the town.

Talking about the opening, Andrew Woodhall, Dealer Principal at Trenton Nissan in Grimsby, said “We had such an overwhelming response from local people during the building process that we felt the family weekend was a great way of officially opening the new site.

“We were absolutely delighted so many people came along to help us celebrate and thanks goes to the Viking FM team for making the day go with a bang.“There was a real carnival atmosphere and everyone who came along really enjoyed themselves.”

He added: “The number of people who attended the event just goes to show the appetite that exists locally for the Nissan brand and for a dealership with Trenton’s focus on customer service.”
