Swansway has appointed, Sean Cannell, 46, from Rugby, as Aftersales Manager at the Group Volkswagen Van Centre, Birmingham. The Aftersales side of the business has been in need of re-development and Sean’s experience made him the man for the job.
Sean explained, “I started in the motor trade in 1985 as a YTS trainee and it’s been in my blood ever since. Aged 21, I was living every boy’s dream working on performance cars, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls Royce and Ferrari, to name but a few. As I stepped up into management, the brands may have been a little less flash, but my role became more demanding and for me, more satisfying”.
“Many of my previous roles involved re-building and re-developing aftersales functions, so, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to do the same at Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham. When I saw what the Swansway values were; caring, honest and proud, they chimed with me and the fact they were Dealer Group of the Year and on the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list, sealed the deal”!
Swansway Group Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Brand Director, David Cowan commented, “We were looking for someone to re-build the Aftersales function at our Birmingham centre and with his experience, we knew Sean was the man for the job. We wish him every success in his new role”.
