K&R has added the MG franchise in Somerset, opening a £2 million complex on the outskirts of Taunton.
The firm is run by dealer principal Karl Broad, an amateur rally driver who has links to the company from his time campaigning a Metro 6R4.
He has invested more than £2-million in the 1.3-acre site, which employs 17 staff. The firm is advertising for an additional MG sales executive and is confident more jobs will be created in the future with the franchise.
The new dealership will cover a wide area of Somerset including Taunton and Bridgwater. The eight-car showroom is on Cook Way, Bindon Road.
Broad said: “MG is in my blood, especially with all the MG 6R4 rallying behind me. I’ve been really impressed with the new cars and I think my customers will be attracted by the value for money they offer.
“MG is back on the map now and I know there’s a large potential market for MG here.”
