Following the announcement of Group CEO André Lacroix’s imminent departure to join Intertek plc,  the Board of Inchcape plc has confirmed the appointment of Stefan Bomhard as the Group’s new Chief Executive.

 

Stefan (aged 47), is currently President of Bacardi Limited’s European region. His responsibilities at Bacardi include leadership of its Global commercial organisation and Global Travel Retail.

Having attained a PhD in Marketing Stefan has subsequently served as Chief Commercial Officer of Cadbury plc; Chief Operating Officer of Foodsolutions, Europe, a division of Unilever plc together with amassing general management, retail and franchise experience at Diageo, (Burger King) and Procter & Gamble.  He will be relocating to the UK to take up his role at Inchcape on 1 April 2015.
