Scotland’s Lomond Audi Group has plans for a £5 million investment across its sites, adding at least 60 additional new jobs to its network.

The Lookers plc owned group hopes to complete a significant expansion of its Stirling Audi dealership in addition and the opening of a brand new Audi base in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire.

Lomond Audi Group Managing Director Steve Dean said that the majority 60 new roles will be Sales Executives, Technicians and Service Advisors, but that there will also be senior managerial roles available nationwide, with the highest volume of recruitment earmarked for Braehead and Hamilton.

Steve Dean said: “Audi is the number one premium car brand for Scottish motorists, and the last few years have seen phenomenal growth and positive change across the entire Lomond Audi Group and we’re excited by the next phase of development which will underpin our position as Scotland’s leading Audi dealer.

“With our growth plans confirmed, we’re now firmly on track to develop all our local dealerships across the Scottish central belt – from Hamilton to Edinburgh.

“Across all sites, the additional 60 posts created will enhance our fast-growing team to consolidate and underpin this level of expansion and to service the needs of thousands of new and existing, loyal Audi customers.”

Lookers plc acquired the Glasgow-based firm in 2012 as part of a £15 million acquisition, Lomond Audi Group was first established in 1998 as a single Audi centre in Kyle Street, Glasgow. It acquired Edinburgh Audi in 2006 and opened a new dealership in Ayr in 2007.  The company, currently operates sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and Ayr.
