Vehicle hire firm Green Motion has expanded with the opening of a new franchise in Northern Ireland.

The green rental brand has enjoyed strong growth throughout 2012, and this year has witnessed another major step in the development of the company’s coverage of major airports throughout the country.

The new franchise in Belfast will be supporting both the international airport and George Best Airport (City airport), and as such will be able to service all inbound domestic and international travellers.

The franchise was awarded to father and son entrepreneurs, Wisper Gwena and Tinashe Gwena, both of whom are highly experienced and committed business professionals.

Commenting on the news, company founder and chairman Richard Lowden (pictured with Tinashe) said: “We are delighted to see so early on in the new year the opening of our latest franchise location within the United Kingdom.

“Having coverage in Northern Ireland is of high strategic importance to a company. Both Wisper and Tinashe have demonstrated excellent commitment to the business and we are already seeing a healthy demand for both corporate and leisure customers.”

Green Motion Belfast is conveniently located, supporting both the airports, with customers being able to enjoy instant access to their vehicles on arrival to the province.

As well as offering van and car hire services at the Belfast city (George Best) and Belfast international airport, Green Motion will also offer both small and large corporate customers a full business rental service including corporate account management and collection and delivery.
