Audi is taking the fight to the UK’s fast-fit centres with a new initiative aimed at getting customers to use its dealers for tyre replacement.

It is launching the Audi online tyre quotation, at www.audi.co.uk/tyres, which enables customers toobtain a fully fitted cost for replacement tyres. They are able to search using their specific registration, the model name or the tyre size required. Results can then be sorted based on the tyre manufacturer, the price or the wheel size. Once a tyre or set of tyres is selected, a quote is generated that is valid for 15 days, and can be presented to any Audi Centre or Audi Authorised Repairer.

Audi claims that its Audi Centres and Audi Authorised Repairers were on average 4% cheaper than the leading national online tyre supplier on a like-for-like basis during March.

The ~German manufacturer is aiming to dispel the myth that it is expensive to deal with. Its centres are already offering fixed, all-inclusive prices for the seven most frequently required service and maintenance jobs for owners of any Audi over 36 months old and with an engine capacity of up to 2.0-litres.The cost of a major service is fixed at £299, and the interim service is priced at £149.

It also offers the Audi Complete package which includes service and maintenance and the first MOT plus a warranty extension to 5 years or 90,000 miles. It is available for all new Audi models for a one-off or fixed monthly fee.
