Peugeot has dropped some hints as to the look of its new SUV model with the Urban Crossover Concept.

Unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show, the concept offers a new vision of a compact crossover vehicle in the supermini segment and will be a global model thanks to the work of design teams in Paris, Shanghai and Sao Paulo. With a length of 4.14m and a width of 1.74m the concept has been designed to be at home in a city as well as out on the open road.

Peugeot has targeted this sector to counter models such as the Nissan Juke and it believes its heritage in the supermini sector will see it succeed.

The Urban Crossover Concept also features Peugeot’s new styling cues, with a ‘smiling’ grille, raked windscreen and, at the rear, the design allows for the lamps to be embedded into the body.

The vehicle will make its European debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.
