Lexus enjoyed buoyant sales in 2011 and so far 2012 is looking pretty favourable thanks to strong fleet purchases.

Lexus sales in the year to March are up 18.4 per cent, led by the CT 200h compact premium car. The car market overall grew just 0.9 per cent, underlining Lexus’ healthy increase.

CT 200h was Lexus’s best seller, posting an increase of 68.7 per cent over the same period last year. The car has been particularly favoured by fleet buyers, with sales up 92.3 per cent versus 2011.

The summer period will see the arrival of Lexus’s new GS 450h executive saloon. July also sees the arrival of the refreshed RX 450h SUV, recently premiered at the Geneva Motor Show. Both cars are available for delivery from mid June.
