Citroen has secured a key fleet deal for its new DS5 Hybrid4 model.

The 2 Sisters Food Group – which acquired Northern Foods last year – has become one of the very first UK fleets to offer its company car drivers the innovative model which blends a diesel engine with an electric motor to offer 200bhp and CO2 emissions of 99g/km..

Commenting on the decision, Craig Burdock, 2 Sisters’ Procurement Category Manager, said: “As a business, we are very environmentally focused. And like all companies we are looking to minimise fleet costs. So we are very excited about being amongst the first to offer Citroën’s DS5 diesel hybrid to our company car drivers, both for the environmental benefits and the driver benefits too.”

Having taken the decision to add the DS5 Hybrid4 to the list for its senior managers, all 2 Sisters’ fleet drivers will now have the opportunity to choose cars from Citroen’s increasingly diverse, stylish, economical, and fuel-efficient range. The cars are operated on a four-year lease through Interactive Fleet Management, which Mr. Burdock describes as a ‘one-stop shop’ for all the company’s fleet needs.

Andy Wady, Citroen UK’s Fleet Director, added: “2 Sisters’ response to DS5 and our Hybrid4 technology is a great example of how the DS line is opening doors for the entire Citroën range. New DS5, particularly the hybrid versions, are recognised as offering real driver, operator and environmental benefits, and that’s allowing us to show how cost effective the Citroën fleet range is as a whole.”
