Chinese vehicle manufacturer Great Wall Motor Company is to begin selling vehicles in the UK this month.
The firm, a market leader for pick-ups and SUVs in China, will be offering the Steed, a robust and highly practical pick-up that will offer unrivalled value for money. Prices will start at just £13,998 (CVOTR) for the generously equipped Steed S model – the lowest for any double-cab pick up in the UK. With a gutsy 2.0-litre diesel engine, six-speed gearbox and selectable-on-the-move two/four-wheel drive, the Steed also delivers class-leading urban fuel economy and the lowest insurance ratings of any vehicle in the pick-up segment. .
The Steed goes on sale through a brand-new, nationwide network of 40 Great Wall dealers. Hand-picked to reflect the brand’s values and philosophy, the dealers have promised standards of customer service that will break new ground in the pick-up market.
The Steed can be seen in Hall 3A Stand 70 at the CV Show next month – the first time a Chinese manufacturer has exhibited at the annual commercial vehicle showcase. Further details about the Steed and Great Wall’s comprehensive, high-value ownership proposition will be revealed next month.
