img 2284The organisers of the CV Show have released further details of some of the companies offering solutions to fleet operator's headaches, who will be exhibiting at the event which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from April 24th to 26th.

Amongst the high profile exhibitors is the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) which has over 18,000 individual members involved in logistics, supply chain and transport. The instuitute provides a professional qualification structure with a combination of academic study and practical experience. At the show, the Institute will provide details of its membership facilities and the range of study and course facilities available to achieve membership qualifications.

Another company who will be on hand is Vigo Software, back at the CV show for the 7th time, who provide a Windows-based system to the logistics and warehousing sector. Vigo will show its latest Management Information Portal, Deditrack, a system for dedicated customer consignment tracking and HeliosHub, the web-based multi partner/depot solution.

With commercial vehicle fleet safety high on the agenda, Brigade Electronics' demonstration truck will be on display at the CV Show with its latest vehicle safety products including a new wireless camera monitor system. The system eliminates the need for suzie cables, saving up to two hours fitment time. A re-pairing button on the receiver allows for interchangeable trailers, making it ideal for multi-drops.

Brigade will also be showing their Sidescan, a four sensor ultrasonic system fitted along the side of a vehicle which detects cyclists and pedestrians in vehicle blind spots, providing an audible warning to the driver and an optional speech warning to the cyclist, "Caution, vehicle turning left".

Commercial vehicle fleets suffering from the effects of heavy traffic will doubtless make a path to the Trafficmaster stand which will focus on the productivity, financial, safety and environmental benefits its advanced telematics can bring to the UK fleet vehicle sector, including satellite navigation and real-time fleet management systems. Central to the offer, Trafficmaster's Smartnav is an intelligent route finding service that uses satellite navigation and live traffic information to find best routes and guide drivers around congestion. It can calculate the best routes and avoid traffic congestion on every journey, improving efficiency and reducing congestion.

First time CV Show exhibitors include Grote Industries, who manufacture and supply lighting products and safety systems for commercial, military and specialised vehicles. Explaining why they decided to come along, Dominic Grote, the firm's President and COO, said,"The opening of our new Niederwinkling offices is a major step towards providing local service and support for our European and global customers. This new location will enable us to service our growing list of European customers with the latest in high quality LED lighting technology, manufactured with Grote's newest lean production work cells."
